Skin blemishes and imperfections: how do they occur?
1 - The sebaceous gland produces excess sebum dilating the pores. We talk about wide or open pores.
2- With the accumulation of dead cells and excess sebum, the pores are obstructed.
3- The sebum oxidises in contact with the air, and blackens: blackheads are formed on the surface of the skin.
4- When the pores are obstructed, bacteria (normally present in the skin flora) proliferate within the accumulation of sebum. This causes skin irritation leading to the formation of spots.
To break this cycle, several combined actions are necessary.
1 – Deep cleansing to purify the pores and the skin
2 – Effective treatment to help regulate the production of sebum and combat bacteria
